daniela brill estrada is an artist, teacher, and researcher from bogotá currently living in vienna. daniela likes physics, sharks, rocks. her artistic research process starts with a small obsession with how life emerges from geological and chemical materials, and how it complexifies, becomes bodies, societies, ecosystems.

daniela studied transdisciplinary arts and art&science at the university for applied arts vienna and fine arts at the universidad nacional de colombia.
daniela is an artist in residence at the SETI institute with the cosmic consciousness program; and artist in residence at the Banerjee lab of biocondensates physics at the university at Buffalo with the COALESCE center for biological arts

daniela is a phd candidate at the art x science school for transformation at the johannes kepler university, linz, and the university for applied arts, vienna, where she has jumped from studying complex systems in nature, such as carbon-based materials and possible alien life, into critically studying complex social systems, economic systems that mutated in order to survive
​
brill estrada works with installations, sculpture, and drawings. sometimes she writes poetry. collaborative work is at the heart of daniela's practice.
